Traje de Choricero

The men’s dress of Candelario is known as the traje del choricero, because the men used to travel about selling sausages (chorizos) made by the Women of tbe village. The hat of black felt is fashioned with a Wide, upturned edge of Velvet on the brim. The jacket of black woolen plush, lined with coloured flannel, is warmly Ínterlined. A sash of red silk Wound about the waist half covers the Waistcoat of ñgured black velvet. The shirt of white linen homespun is unadorned. The breeches are of black plush, and the leggings, of black broadcloth. No one now wears habitually the old dress, but it is possible to assemble a complete costume from the single garments which exist in many family chests.

Vestido de los hombres de Candelario se conoce como el traje del choricero, porque los hombres solían viajar para la venta de embutidos (chorizos) realizados por las mujeres de Candelario.
  El sombrero de fieltro negro se forma con un borde ancho, vuelto hacia arriba de terciopelo en el borde. La chaqueta de felpa de lana negra, forrada con franela de color, se acoge con interlineado. Una faja de seda roja rodeada a la cintura cubre la mitad del chaleco de terciopelo negro realzando su figura. La camisa de lino blanco casero está sin adornos. Los pantalones son de felpa negro, y las polainas de paño negro. Nadie ahora usa habitualmente el viejo traje, pero es posible montar un traje completo de las prendas individuales que existen en los baules de muchas familias.
